A Successful Step Towards Smarter, more Affordable Housing
The 2025 Innovative Housing Construction Summit brought together industry experts, government agencies, and community leaders with one goal—to explore real solutions for affordable, sustainable housing in the Virgin Islands. Hosted by Senator Marvin Blyden, and supported by the Virgin Islands Territorial Association of REALTORS® (VITAR) event showcased new materials, smarter building methods, and policy ideas that can help reduce construction costs and expand homeownership opportunities across the territory.
Two Islands, One Mission
The Summit took place across St. Thomas and St. Croix, featuring dynamic panels, product showcases, and hands-on demonstrations.
Participants discussed ways to modernize building codes, strengthen partnerships, and make innovative housing technologies more accessible to local builders and families.
